My story
I first fell in love with a camera when I was just a boy, probably 7 or 8 years old. My father had several close friends who were in the photography industry or had photography as a hobby. Being around these men inspired me to capture moments in time and see life differently through a lens. There was always something so powerful to me about inspiring others through a single photograph. It was then, and still is today, one of my greatest joys to see people emotionally moved by my work. I was gifted my first entry level professional camera at 12 years of age. The photographer who gifted it to me told me that if he caught me using it in "auto" that he would take it back. I learned how to run that machine and I loved every button and dial on it. It was a film camera and I couldn't wait to see my work come back to me. I still have flip books of old photos stored in my parent's attic.
I started working for a local photographer when I was 15. Terry taught me more about photography than anyone else. He took me under his wing at a young age and put me right to work! Terry's Studio was always busy and we traveled often to weddings and events. I learned about capture, editing, printing, videography, and more. To this day, Terry Payne is still a dear friend and I owe him a lot! I wouldn't be the photographer I am today without him. He is still one of the best nature photographers I have ever personally known.
Throughout the years I have continued to use my skills no matter where I am. Whether it is capturing moments for friends and family, capturing content for the companies I have worked for, or using my creative skills to advance my own musical projects, photography and videography has always been in the mix. I love to tell stories through images and videos. I would love to tell your story as well.
I want to say thanks to all of the incredible folks who have supported me through the years. Without them, I wouldn't still be on this journey. You can hear from some of them below. Thank you
